We’re here to support you: experts in flat roofs, façades and photovoltaics for pharmaceutical packaging and medical technology

In the pharmaceutical packaging and medical technology sectors, every square metre and every kilowatt-hour counts. Rising energy costs, strict regulatory requirements (GMP, PPWR, EU Packaging Directive) and the pressure to meet sustainability targets make the building envelope a strategic lever for efficiency and compliance.

Choose a partner for your building envelope who understands your specific needs arising from these requirements:

How to reduce your production costs

Keep costs under control: through energy-efficient materials, connection to a solar power system and advice on grants.

How to preserve property value in the long term

Ensure that your property investments retain their value: with high-quality, durable building materials and smart technology (e.g. leak detection sensors, self-cleaning drains).

Play it safe, both during construction and when it comes to maintenance

Get it right from the start with the right partner: through disruption-free refurbishment, precise maintenance (e.g. drone inspections) and comprehensive documentation for audits.

The ideal building envelope for pharmaceutical packaging and medical technology

Building envelopes act as a protective shield for your manufacturing facilities. They have a significant impact on energy efficiency, production conditions and regulatory compliance. Our solutions combine state-of-the-art technology, innovative materials and intelligent control systems to ensure your production facilities are optimally equipped.

This is how we tackle the challenges facing your industry:

Regulatory hurdles & compliance

Audits, certificates, monitoring

Your challenge:

  • Compliance with GMP, PPWR and the EU Packaging Regulation (mandatory from August 2026).
  • ESG reporting (CSRD) and sustainability evidence for investors and authorities.
  • Supply chain due diligence and climate neutrality targets.

Our solution:

  • Audit-proof documentation of all materials and processes.
  • Certified building materials (e.g. recyclable insulation, low-carbon concrete).
  • Integration of sensor technology for real-time monitoring of airtightness, temperature and air quality.
Economic pressure & energy costs

Save energy, get a grant

Your challenge:

  • Energy is one of the biggest cost drivers – inefficient building envelopes exacerbate the problem.
  • Funding (e.g. BAFA, KfW) must be applied for and utilised to the full.

Our solution:

  • Up to 30% energy savings through high-performance insulation and adaptive façade systems.
  • PV and green roof assessment for your flat roof – including a feasibility study.
  • Grant advice: We show you how to secure government grants (e.g. €87 billion from the Social Climate Fund from 2026) for renovation and new builds.
Security risks & production requirements

Cleanroom, chemical resistance, production downtime

Your challenge:

  • Contamination-free environments (cleanroom standards, GMP).
  • Protection against chemicals, moisture and environmental influences.
  • Minimal production downtime during refurbishment.

Our solution:

  • Acid- and chemical-resistant materials (e.g. stainless steel, special coatings): Implementation subject to consultation.
  • Explosion protection (ATEX-compliant) and fire protection in accordance with DIN 4102/EN 13501-1: Implementation subject to consultation.
  • Seamless construction processes: Temporary airlocks or mobile cleanrooms for uninterrupted refurbishments.
Sustainability as a competitive advantage

Thinking beyond tomorrow

Your challenge:

  • PPWR-compliant packaging and recyclable materials.
  • CO₂ reduction in the supply chain and production.

Our solution:

  • Recyclable building materials and recyclable façade systems.
  • Green roofs & façades – cool the building and boost PV efficiency.
  • Drone- and AI-supported maintenance for early damage detection.

Funding: The government can help with your renovation project!

There are various funding schemes available for the energy-efficient refurbishment of industrial buildings in Germany. Here are some of the current options:

Energy efficiency in production facilities

BAFA EEW

This programme supports specific measures to improve the energy efficiency of the building envelope of non-residential buildings. Funding is available in the form of a grant or a low-interest loan with a repayment subsidy. The exact funding conditions vary depending on the measure and the efficiency standard. Find out more here: bafa.de

Renovation of non-residential buildings

KfW Energy Efficiency Programme – Production facilities and processes

KfW Bank supports businesses in investing in the energy efficiency of production facilities and processes. Although the focus is on production processes, measures relating to the building envelope may also be eligible for funding if they contribute to improving energy efficiency. Funding is provided in the form of repayment grants of up to 20%. Find out more here: kfw.de

Funding from the regional or local authority

Regional funding schemes

In addition to the national schemes, some federal states and local authorities offer their own grants for energy-efficiency renovations of non-residential buildings. The terms and availability vary from region to region – we’d be happy to help!
